Dr Courtney Lightfoot

Research Associate

Courtney joined the team in 2019 as a mixed-methods researcher following obtaining a PhD in 2018 evaluating the use of hip precautions (movements restrictions) following total hip replacement. She has a background in Sports, Health and Exercise Science, including Exercise Rehabilitation. Alongside the team she has recently completed the SMILE-K clinical trial of the lifestyle and self-management intervention My Kidneys & Me, and is currently evaluating this and working towards implementation of the intervention. Her research interests include development of complex interventions, patient activation and self-management, patient experiences of living with a chronic condition including symptom burden and quality of life.
